Balkan Conference, Alexandroupolis

🗓️ Jan Michiel Meeuwsen to Spotlight PEROSH at Balkan Health and Safety Congress

On 3 November 2025, Jan Michiel Meeuwsen will participate in the 2nd Balkan Health and Safety at Work Congress in Alexandroupolis, Greece. Hosted by the Hellenic Institute for Occupational Health and Safety (ELINYAE), the event will gather regional leaders to advance occupational health and safety across Southeast Europe.

International Conference OSH, Mersin, Turkiye

On 13th September 2022 Jan Michiel Meeuwsen presented the research network PEROSH and its latest findings on pandemic research. Moreover, an overview was given on key facts and figures of the Netherlands OSH infrastructure.

The conference took place in Mersin, Turkey. It was the closure of a project on OSH for businesses from the Mersin Chamber of Trade and Industry. The project was co-funded by the EU and the Ministry of Labour from Ankara.

On 29-30 September 2022 the HSE360 summit will take place in Brussels. 

Jan Michiel Meeuwsen will present PEROSH research findings from the pandemic. 

The HSE360 summit is attended mostly by HSE staff from companies across Europe.

Easierphone meets test users

On 11th April, Robert Huber, the initiator and coordinator of @easierphone, visited the MOB facility where he met the test users who asked all sorts of questions about its use.

Jan Michiel Meeuwsen acted as host of MOB and represents MOB/Internos as end user partner in this European project.

Today’s smartphones are complex, but many users only need a fraction of the functionalities available. The Easierphone app provides a simple, clear home screen and easy to use apps for Android phones. To solve technical problems, Easierphone can be remotely supported by a family member. Optional monitoring of well-being and emergency protocols can provide peace of mind for senior citizens and their families.

Online thematafel over robotisering en gezond en veilig werken

Het ministerie van SZW zet samen met TNO in op kennisontwikkeling op het gebied van arbeidsveiligheid in relatie tot maatschappelijke en technologische trends. Robotisering en gezond en veilig werken is een onderwerp waarvan veel impact wordt verwacht. Om meer inzicht te krijgen, organiseren wij op donderdag 8 oktober een online thematafel en u kan meepraten.

Jan Michiel Meeuwsen is moderator van deze dag.

Eerste Thematafel robotisering en veilig en gezond werken georganiseerd

Welke invloed heeft robotisering op het domein ‘gezond en veilig werken’? Met deze achterliggende vraag organiseerde het ministerie van SZW, samen met TNO en RIVM op 19 juni 2019 een eerste thematafel robotisering.

In een inleidende presentatie besprak Dolf van der Beek (TNO) highlights van TNO-onderzoeken over robotisering en veilig en gezond werken. Moderator Jan Michiel Meeuwsen besprak deze eerste thematafel en bevroeg daarbij ook de zaal om een duidelijk beeld te krijgen van de aanwezigen en hun verwachtingen.
