Balkan Conference, Alexandroupolis

🗓️ Jan Michiel Meeuwsen to Spotlight PEROSH at Balkan Health and Safety Congress

On 3 November 2025, Jan Michiel Meeuwsen will participate in the 2nd Balkan Health and Safety at Work Congress in Alexandroupolis, Greece. Hosted by the Hellenic Institute for Occupational Health and Safety (ELINYAE), the event will gather regional leaders to advance occupational health and safety across Southeast Europe.

International Conference OSH, Mersin, Turkiye

On 13th September 2022 Jan Michiel Meeuwsen presented the research network PEROSH and its latest findings on pandemic research. Moreover, an overview was given on key facts and figures of the Netherlands OSH infrastructure.

The conference took place in Mersin, Turkey. It was the closure of a project on OSH for businesses from the Mersin Chamber of Trade and Industry. The project was co-funded by the EU and the Ministry of Labour from Ankara.

On 29-30 September 2022 the HSE360 summit will take place in Brussels. 

Jan Michiel Meeuwsen will present PEROSH research findings from the pandemic. 

The HSE360 summit is attended mostly by HSE staff from companies across Europe.

Eerste Thematafel robotisering en veilig en gezond werken georganiseerd

Welke invloed heeft robotisering op het domein ‘gezond en veilig werken’? Met deze achterliggende vraag organiseerde het ministerie van SZW, samen met TNO en RIVM op 19 juni 2019 een eerste thematafel robotisering.

In een inleidende presentatie besprak Dolf van der Beek (TNO) highlights van TNO-onderzoeken over robotisering en veilig en gezond werken. Moderator Jan Michiel Meeuwsen besprak deze eerste thematafel en bevroeg daarbij ook de zaal om een duidelijk beeld te krijgen van de aanwezigen en hun verwachtingen.

HSE360 Summit in Frankfurt

The last two days I participated in an interesting summit with approximately 200 HSE managers from Europe. Some great keynote speakers and the topics of the summit programme comprised: digitisation of HSE work, behaviour based safety, employee involvement and mental health at the workplace.

I presented the work of PEROSH and received positive responses and some contacts were initiated. My talk was on the new strategy and ambitions of PEROSH. Its joined research projects, research conferences and researcher exchange program.
