Novum Momentum – Innovation in the now, acts as an innovation broker and connects various actors at different parts of innovation processes. We facilitate process coordination and matchmaking between innovation seekers and potential solution providers. Building on a vast experience in consortia building, project design and competitive funding mechanisms, Novum Momentum can assist knowledge institutes and Research & Innovation intensive enterprises to realize innovation in the now.
The owner and founder of Novum Momentum, Jan Michiel Meeuwsen, has ample experience in designing a long-term international strategy for R&I driven organizations. He has a proven track record in realizing successful R&I program management and winning proposals in the highly competitive EU Research Framework programs and European Commission tendering procurement.
Currently, Jan Michiel Meeuwsen is the manager international affairs of PEROSH. Its members aim to coordinate and cooperate their efforts on European level in research and development in occupational safety and health. The network comprises 14 Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) institutes from 13 European countries. As a manager of international affairs, Jan Michiel is responsible for the coordination and networking to achieve the general objectives of PEROSH.
Jan Michiel was also active as the coordinator of the so-called Many-Me project funded through the European AAL (Active & Assisted Living) Programme. As of mid 2016, Jan Michiel is the chairman of the supervisory board of MOB, a care service provider to the elderly in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. MOB realizes an annual turnover of 20 Meur with approximately 600 staff and providing care services to approximately 2300 clients.
In 2017 Jan Michiel worked on an interim assignment to assist Erasmus University Rotterdam in developing a solid EU strategy.
Jan Michiel also worked for more than 7 years in Turkey as a consultant and team leader in several projects. In 2011 he finished a MATRA project (Dutch bi-lateral funding). In this project, the Turkish Ministry of Labour and Social Security received assistance with a gap analysis concerning health and safety legislation and the position of occupational safety and health services within Turkey. The project outcome contributed to the final adoption of the new Occupational Safety and Health Act in Turkey of June 2012. In 2013, Jan Michiel started the so-called
